The working, closed-source module should be copied into the linux-restricte d-modules package and installed with it, instead how to reflect this within the metadata of launchpad, I don’t know. When you get the source for the kernel, do a make xconfig and then search for keyspan.

The linhx keyspan serial driver is still needed for most keyspan serial adapters including mines!
