Is anything else required to have this resolved in zesty? Today I rebooted my computer after a accumulating some updates in the last days with Fedora 20, and There are some threads in the Ubuntu forums on this problem: Can’t use multitouch and can’t disable it either. I don’t think dell made Alps for Microsoftbut Microsoft itselfso it is false that we should contact Dell. BTW,I am noticing now that tapping with a single finger on the lower-right part of the trackpad is equivalent of a right-click.

Before I had working touchpad tap as click, two finger scrolling with stick which was worked out off box. At least zlps a Firefox window typing this, and the editor LyX, I can type with one hand and brush the touchpad all I want and the point where I am typing “stays put”.

I am asking this because I use nvidia kernel module as well as wl broadcom wireless and delk another kernel will break the modules for them both. Seeing exactly the same behavior as described in comment 71, happy to test any change.
The patch I mentioned before gives you that right scroll element. I’ve been running it with no problems so far.
